Board of Adjustment
About the Board
Hear and decide the following: a request for variance from the requirements of Chapter 25-2 (Zoning), except as otherwise provided by the Code; an appeal of an administrative action under Chapter 25-2 (Zoning); a request for a variance from the requirements of airport zoning regulations under Section 241.034, Local Government Code; and perform other duties prescribed by ordinance or state law. Section 2-1-111 of the City Code and Section 211.008 Local Government Code outline the Board of Adjustment's administration. Council has the authority to appoint alternates to the board. City Code Section 2-1-181 (Sign Review Board) is repealed, and the section number is reserved for expansion. All references to the Sign Review Board in the City Code are changed to the Board of Adjustment.
