Strategic Universities Partnership Dashboard

The Strategic Universities Partnership (SUP) program connects City of Austin departments with local universities to solve real problems, test new ideas, and improve operations and services. It provides a clear, streamlined path for working with academic partners and supports a wide range of activities, including research, innovation, engagement, and workforce development.

In 2020, City Council approved a standardized interlocal agreement framework with UT-Austin. It was expanded in 2025 to also include Austin Community College, Concordia University, Huston Tillotson University, St. Edward’s University, and Texas State University.
