Austin Municipal Court Celebrates Municipal Court Week 2026
Next week, November 2-6, 2026, is Municipal Court Week, an annual statewide celebration of the dedicated work of municipal court staff and the public services they provide. Austin Municipal Court (AMC) will be celebrating with a traffic safety table and the launch of a new series of short videos.
“At Austin Municipal Court, we strive to be accessible and to provide comprehensive public information. We want the public to understand what we do and feel comfortable asking about our services and programs, be it in person, by phone, or by email,” said Catherine Cousar, Public Information Specialist at Austin Municipal Court.
AMC is launching an ongoing series of short informational videos about court services and functions. The first two videos of the series cover what to expect if you have Jury Duty and Plea Options for Class C Misdemeanors.
Stop by our joint traffic safety event with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Watch UR BAC Program on November 5th. Meet our staff, learn about court services, get traffic safety tips, and try out an intoxicated driving simulator. The event will be at Austin City Hall from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and at AMC’s Main Courthouse from 12:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
