Public Invited to Attend the 2026 Austin City Council Candidate Panels
The public is invited to attend the 2026 Council Candidate Panels taking place in September and October 2026. Each event will be an opportunity for Austinites to listen to candidates express their views so audience members can understand candidates' positions and make informed voting decisions.
The City of Austin, the City's Ethics Review Commission, and the League of Women Voters Austin Area will sponsor the five City Council Candidate Forums for City Council candidates competing in the November 3 election. The panels will be held in-person and also aired live on ATXN.TV (ENG and ESP) and KAZI FM 88.7.
• District 1 Candidate Panel: October 15 at 6:30 p.m.

• District 3 Candidate Panel: October 1 at 6:30 p.m.
Learning and Research Center (5202 E. Ben White Blvd., Suite 500)
• District 5 Candidate Panel: September 17 at 6:30 p.m.
South Austin Senior Activity Center (3911 Menchaca Rd.)
• District 8 Candidate Panel: September 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Hampton Branch Library (5125 Convict Hill Rd.)
• District 9 Candidate Panel: September 29 at 6:30 p.m.
City Hall Council Chambers (301 W 2nd St.)
• Run-Off (if needed): November 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Voters can suggest questions for moderators to ask the candidates by emailing candidateforums@lwvaustin.org or calling 512-451-6710. To request language interpretation services for any of the panels, please call 3-1-1 at least five days before the event.
