The Learning, Engagement, and Development (LEAD) Office designs and delivers leadership development programs, manages citywide training initiatives, and supports organizational effectiveness through executive coaching, performance management, employee engagement, and strategic consulting. LEAD also oversees New Employee Orientation, citywide compliance training, recognition and engagement programs, and special projects that align with the City of Austin’s mission and values.
OD champions organizational learning and employee engagement at the City of Austin through the delivery of diverse programs and services to City leaders and employees. We provide ongoing skills development through our Leadership Academies and other city-wide learning opportunities. Additionally, we provide program management and coordination as well as coaching, consulting and facilitation services to City and department executives and managers.
OD offices are located in the Learning & Research Center at 5202 E. Ben White Blvd., Suite 500.
