Austin Museum Day

Sunday, September 20, 2026
12-4 p.m.
Free event for all ages.

Celebrate Austin Museum Day at the Dougherty Arts Center with three exhibitions on view at the Julia C. Butridge Gallery: Somos Animales Poéticos by Cristina Velásquez, On and On and On by Quentin Pace, and Out of Place by Yamin Li.

Discover the exhibitions through an interactive guide featuring prompts that encourage looking closely and exploration. Can you find everything on the list? Then, visit the postcard-making station to create your own miniature artwork inspired by themes of identity, memory, connection, and place. This free, all-ages activity invites visitors to reflect on personal stories, shared experiences, and creative expression inspired by the artwork on view.

Learn more about these exhibits at the Julia C. Butridge Gallery webpage.
