City Celebrates Austin Small Business Week (May 4-8)
AUSTIN, TX – Austin Economic Development is proud to host Austin Small Business Week from May 4-8, a weeklong series of training sessions and events designed to support entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and cooperatives across Austin. The department will offer no-cost, in-person and virtual workshops covering business planning, marketing, funding, technology, and more.
Austin Small Business Week highlights the resources and opportunities available to local entrepreneurs while reinforcing the City’s commitment to fostering a strong and resilient small business community. Programming is designed to provide practical tools and strategies that help businesses grow, adapt, and succeed in today’s evolving economy.
The week will kick off with the State of Small Business in Austin - The Economic Outlook in 2026, a breakfast and panel discussion featuring speakers from Austin PBS, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Opportunity Austin. This timely conversation will explore key economic trends, emerging opportunities, and the challenges shaping Austin’s small business landscape, offering insights to help entrepreneurs stay resilient and positioned for growth.
“Austin’s strength comes from the people building businesses every day across our city. Our small business community continues to show what it means to adapt and grow, even in uncertain times,” says Anthony Segura, Deputy Director of Austin Economic Development. “Austin Small Business Week is about backing that resilience with the tools, access, and support entrepreneurs need to stay competitive, grow with confidence, and keep driving Austin’s economy forward.”
