Youth Career Fest

About

Austin's Youth Career Fest is an annual event that brings together high school students from across the Austin area for hands-on career exploration. It is organized by Youth Initiatives and facilitated by the Austin Youth Council.  Austin Youth Council is a group of high school students who represent the voice of youth in local government by learning about city government and meeting with policymakers and administrators. Connecting Students to Possibilities

Since 2013, Youth Career Fest has provided students with a day to explore their career and higher educational interests. As one of the largest career festivals in the city, the event attracts more than 200 vendors from diverse career fields and over 3000 attendees from the greater Austin area.

What to Expect

Interested students should expect to be exposed to different career sectors, college opportunities, and to be equipped with knowledge, connections and experience to find a path after graduation. The event will provide opportunities for networking with career representatives and keynote speakers from the Austin area.
