The City of Austin Small Business Division offers a comprehensive directory of small business resources offered by local, state, and federal governments and non-profit agencies. Our goal for the City of Austin Small Business Resources Directory is to increase awareness and use of the programs that provide aid in the development of your business.

Established by the City in 1985, the Art in Public Places (AIPP) program collaborates with local & nationally-known artists to include the history and values of our community into cultural landmarks that have become cornerstones of Austin’s identity.  

The Global Business Expansion Division increases jobs and investment in Austin through business attraction and by assisting local businesses with international expansion and trade.

The Southwest Trade Adjustment Assistance Center assists U.S. manufacturing and service firms that are affected by foreign competition to regain profitable growth. 

The Energy Department supports a number of grant, loan and financing programs. 

The mission of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is to provide the best free, confidential one-on-one counseling and educational services to the Greater Austin small business community.

The Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) cultivates, promotes and empowers the economic well-being of the LGBT business community and their allies through collaboration, education and community development. 

The Austin Independent Business Alliance (AIBA) is a group of locally owned and operated independent businesses that have joined together to promote the cultural and economic benefits of buying locally. 

The Greater Austin Black Chamber inspires, develops, and promotes black economic success in the greater Austin area. 

The UT Professional Development Center (PDC) helps individuals meet professional and personal goals and helps organizations develop employees and improve performance through its program, consulting, coaching and facilitation services.

The City’s Bicycle Program works to make Austin an even greater city for biking — and a community where people of all ages and abilities experience biking as safe, comfortable, convenient and fun.
