Austin Equity and Inclusion Divisions

The Civil Rights Division enforces civil rights laws and helps protect people from discrimination across employment, housing, education, public accommodations, tenants’ right to organize and fair chance hiring interactions.

The Equity Division provides leadership, guidance, and insight on equity to improve the quality of life for all Austinites. We strive to achieve the vision of making Austin the most livable city in the nation for all.

The Human Rights Division's work focuses on expanding access to services, promoting inclusion, and eliminating systemic barriers to opportunity; we focus programs on immigrants and refugees, veterans, people with disabilities and our LGBTQ community.
