Wednesday, April 8, 2026
7–9pm
Hear from artists Aileen Chen, Sara Kate Hannon, and Rakhee Jain Desai as they discuss the concepts, materials, and processes behind their exhibitions currently on view at the JCB Gallery. Aileen Chen will speak about her use of reclaimed materials to explore renewal, sustainability, and the transformation of waste into vibrant, life-affirming forms. Sara Kate Hannon will discuss how layered paintings and drawings examine emotional landscapes, identity, and the fragile connections that bind individuals to one another. Rakhee Jain Desai will share how her work engages heritage textile practices, natural dyes, and living materials to explore lineage, labor, and evolving relationships to land across geographies.
