The Austin City Council recently passed a resolution to improve safety at new dog boarding facilities.

We are exploring possible updates to the City Code to prevent dogs from escaping safe enclosures, along with other possible safety requirements. Current proposals would require new dog boarding facilities to install dig guard protection systems and consider other improvements that make sense for all dog boarding facilities.
