The Austin Fire Community Engagement Division coordinates fire drills and evacuation drills, fire safety presentations and trainings, fire truck visits and visits to Austin Fire stations.

The Austin Fire Peer Support Team is available 24/7/365 at 888-423-3435 to be a listening ear and/or suggest local, regional, state, and national behavioral health resources.

Austin Fire is committed to a transparent, cooperative partnership with the media and the community.

The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for the protection of life and property through code enforcement, plans review, fire inspections, and fire cause determination.

The Wildfire Division addresses the potential threat of wildfires through public education, fuel (vegetation) management and effective firefighting response.
