Disabled Parking Violations
A disabled parking violation is a Class C criminal misdemeanor.
1. Get your case information
To look up your case, you'll need your case or citation number, or your last name and date of birth or driver's license number.
2. Choose an option to resolve your case
1. Provide the full name and address of the person responsible for the vehicle when the citation was issued (if different from the registered owner).
2. Complete the affidavit form to request dismissal (Motion to Dismiss Disabled Parking Affidavit). Do not sign it without a notary public present (if completing the affidavit at Austin Municipal Court, a notary is not needed).
3. If you do not complete the affidavit form in person at either Austin Municipal Court location, you must have the affidavit notarized before submission.

4. Submit the form.

Filling Out the Form:
Case Number
Select the option(s) in which you are requesting the dismissal.
Fill out all blanks for the chosen option (if applicable).
If naming another responsible party or taking responsibility for the citation, fill out the “Responsible Party’s” information.
The form must be notarized unless submitted in person.
Submitting the Form:

A legible copy of the front and back of the disabled placard
A legible copy of the Driver's License or Identification Card of the person to whom the placard is registered.
If you selected that you were transporting someone else who possessed a valid placard at the time of the violation, include a copy of your Driver's License with the required documents.
