What We Do

Our division oversees permitting for special events, as well as permitting and development opportunities for Austin's entertainment industry. Learn more about how we support creatives in Austin:

Special Event Permitting (Austin Center for Events)

The Austin Center for Events (ACE) is a collaboration of City departments designed to streamline special event permitting on public and private property. ACE works closely with event organizers to guide them through the permitting process to ensure safe and vibrant events. Check out our Event Permit Guide to get started!

Entertainment Permitting

Entertainment Permitting Services helps businesses in the entertainment industry get the permits they need to create thriving spaces. These include Alcoholic Beverage Permits, Outdoor Amplified Sound Permits, Parking Lot Patio Permits, and more.

Entertainment Industry Development

The Entertainment Industry Development team supports creatives in Austin in a variety of ways — from creative industry funding to artist development, program partnerships, and assistance with City processes.
