FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Release Date: Mar. 18, 2025

City of Austin Career Expo, April 2, 2025, 10 am to 3 pm, Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road, Free and Open to the Public, Register Today: austintexas.gov/careerexpo

City of Austin hosts annual Career Expo, April 2, 2025 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Palmer Events Center. Free and Open to the Public. Register Today.

The City of Austin's annual Career Expo event will occur on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Palmer Events Center. More than 100 employers are anticipated to attend. For the first time this year, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-spot interviews for City of Austin jobs. The City launched a new contingent hiring pilot program in January which allows departments to conduct interviews and extend contingent job offers on-site during recruiting events. There are close to 90 different job titles included in the program in areas such as accounting, customer service, finance, human resources, healthcare, engineering, and various operations type jobs.

The primary goal of this event is to provide opportunities for job seekers from all backgrounds, including justice-involved individuals, Veterans, Seniors (50+), and people with disabilities, to find viable jobs by networking with employers and resource providers.

The Career Expo will include several City departments, private employers, state agencies, higher education and technical schools, temporary staffing agencies, and many smaller businesses with skilled, customer service and labor job openings. There is no cost for job seekers to attend and a professional photographer will be onsite taking headshots of attendees at no charge. Registration for job seekers and employers is available at Austintexas.gov/CareerExpo.
