Carlos is a board-licensed professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in intellectual property. A long-time Austin resident, Carlos brings an analytical approach to problem-solving and focuses on evidence-based solutions. He holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Christopher Michael Harris
Chris has been a freelance lighting technician for almost 20 years. He has earned industry recognition, contributing to praised visual experiences in event production. Chris has experience in several lighting console platforms and enjoys motorcycle riding.
Darrick Eugene
Darrick is the managing shareholder of an education law firm serving public schools statewide. He is also the president of the Rotary Club of Austin and founder of the Sol to Soul Harvest Foundation, which promotes diversity in the renewable energy industry. Darrick holds a law degree, a master’s in public affairs, and a dual undergraduate degree in government and economics.
DeMarris Jackson
DeMarris is a special education department co-teacher in the Austin region and senior pastor of United Abundant Faith Church. He was appointed Bishop of Texas First Diocese in 2024 and holds a master of arts in ministry.
John Banaski
John has worked on real estate development and construction projects in Austin for over 30 years. He was a foster parent for 8 years and is certified in behavior intervention training. John holds an associate degree and also studied business administration, biology, and computer science.
Laura Alejandra Cortes Franco
Dr. Alejandra Cortes Franco is an industrial-organizational psychologist with expertise in research, organizational development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. She is passionate about using psychological principles to improve work environments and leadership development. Laura holds a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology.

Maica values personal growth and optimism. She holds a bachelor of science in business administration.
Ruben Gabriel DeLaPaz
Ruben has a background in military leadership and expertise in managing operations, personnel, and resources. He has studied information system technology and electrical engineering.
Kathy Russell
Kathy has over 25 years of customer-facing service experience and is a technical support representative for Apple. She was raised in Austin and was previously a DJ/musician. Kathy holds a bachelor’s in arts with a minor in radio/TV/film.
Terry Flood
Dr. Flood serves as a trainer for the Veterans Crisis Line, focusing on suicide prevention and crisis intervention. He has an extensive educational background, including multiple master’s degrees in criminal justice, industrial psychology, leadership, human resource management, and social work, along with a doctorate in healthcare and business administration.
