Suspect: Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yac, Hispanic male, 20 years old

Austin Police (APD) detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yak in connection with a collision that resulted in bodily injuries and are requesting the public's assistance in locating him.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at approximately 6:28 p.m. near the intersection of East Riverside Drive and Royal Crest Drive. Detectives report that the suspect rear-ended a vehicle occupied by two individuals, both of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, later identified as Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yac, fled the scene immediately following the collision.

APD detectives identified Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yac through forensic analysis, which successfully linked DNA recovered from the driver-side airbag to a match in the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).

Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yac does not have a known address in Austin, Texas. His last known location prior to the collision was in Tucson, Arizona.
