On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the 3000 block of Stratford Drive. The unidentified driver was pronounced deceased on scene. 

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 81st fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 85 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 73 fatal crashes resulted in 78 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.
