Austin Public Health (APH) offers vaccines to uninsured children or Medicaid recipients. Services are also available to uninsured adults.
What kinds of vaccines are offered?
The following immunizations are available:
- Children (0 through 18 years old)
- COVID-19 (Moderna and Pfizer)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Hib
- HPV9
- Influenza (when in season)
- IPV (polio)
- DTaP/Tdap
- TDaP
- Td (at Shots for Tots clinics only)
- Meningococcal
- MMR
- MMRV
- PCV20
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Rotavirus (at Shots for Tots clinics only)
- Adults (19 years old and older)
- COVID-19 (Moderna and Pfizer)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- HPV9
- Influenza (when in season)
- Meningococcal
- MMR
- Mpox
- PCV20
- Shingrix
- Tdap
- Varicella (chickenpox)
Who qualifies for free or low-cost vaccines?
The following groups can get free or low-cost vaccines from Austin Public Health:
Children (0 through 18 years old)
- Medicaid eligible
- Uninsured
- American Indian or Alaska Native
- Underinsured
Adults (19 years old and older)
- Uninsured
- COVID-19 only (COVID-19 vaccines are free for adults who are uninsured or underinsured)
No one is refused services if they are unable to pay.

How to get vaccinated
Austin Public Health offers two places to get vaccinated: at Immunization Clinics and through the Mobile Vaccination Program.
Immunization Clinics
We have two Immunization Clinic locations. You need to make an appointment to get a vaccine at either clinic. We serve children and adults at both clinics.

Call 512-972-5520, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

For your appointment
- Bring shot records with you
- Bring your child’s Medicaid card
- Children under 18 must come with a parent or guardian

The Mobile Vaccination Program operates at different hours and locations. Check our schedule to see where we will be. Click on the event title to learn:
