The City of Austin Small Business Division offers a comprehensive directory of small business resources offered by local, state, and federal governments and non-profit agencies. Our goal for the City of Austin Small Business Resources Directory is to increase awareness and use of the programs that provide aid in the development of your business.

The city of Austin provides cultural arts programs for the Austin community by contracting with arts organizations for specific services.  

The City's Music & Entertainment Division is an economic development accelerator and centralized resource center for Austin's music industry, and an active community partner for Austin's citizens, community groups, and neighborhoods. 

The community diversion study is a comprehensive study of all of Austin's commercial and residential recycling, composting, and other diversion activities. 

The Community Development Bank (CDB) offers financial assistance in the form of loan programs that provide flexible capital and technical assistance to small and minority businesses that are expanding or relocating to low-income areas. 

The Core Cultural Funding programs provides funding to large and small non-profit organizations. 

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress is intended to assist business owners with whatever needs they have right now.

The Corporations Section is responsible for the receipt, filing and permanent maintenance and retention of documents that create or affect business organizations and non-profit entities.
