Austin Fire Programs

Austin Fire’s Special Events Division enforces fire safety requirements for temporary events through stand-alone fire permits and permits issued through the multi-departmental Austin Center for Events (ACE).

AFD is responsible for conducting annual inspections of multi-family residences, commercial properties and licensed facilities.

The Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Code helps ensure businesses and residences in and around wildland areas mitigate wildfire risk through site, infrastructure and structure hardening requirements.
