On Friday, July 25, 52025, at approximately 7:13 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the 5700 block of E William Cannon Dr. The pedestrian, later identified as Opendra Bohara, was pronounced deceased on scene. The vehicle driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 54th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 58 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 44 fatal crashes resulted in 47 deaths.
