On Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 8:57 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash that involved a sedan and a motorcycle in the intersection of Pearce Lane and Alomar Cove. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and passenger the sedan were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 67th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 71 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 57 fatal crashes resulted in 62 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.
