Welcome to the City of Austin Open Enrollment 2026

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to make changes to current benefit elections, with an effective date of January 1, 2026.

Please note, Medicare eligible retirees currently enrolled in a City Medical plan, will be enrolled in the Medicare Advantage Plan.

Open Enrollment begins October 17, 2025, and ends November 10, 2025.

To make benefits changes online visit the Retiree Workday Log-In Page. Open Enrollment will be available 24/7 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on November 10, 2025.
To make benefits changes by phone, call 888-584-2919. Telephone enrollment is available Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Your first benefit deduction will occur on your January 2026 retirement check.

Workday is now the system where retirees can access your retiree benefits information and make benefits. If it is your first time logging in to

Username: Your username can be found in your 2026 Open Enrollment packet, or you may email the Benefits Division at Benefits.HRD@austintexas.gov for assistance.
Password: Current year, followed by the symbol @, then the first three letters of first name (first letter capitalized), the first three letters of last name (all lowercase), and the last two digits of your birth year.
For example, John Smith DOB: 1/1/1970. The password would be: 2025@Johsmi70
