Austin Parks and Recreation Disc Golf Courses
Disc golf may not have started in Austin, but it sometimes feels that way. Austin Parks and Recreation is proud to host six disc golf courses, including Bartholomew Park, the oldest course in Texas still open. Other courses can be found at Zilker Metropolitan Park, Mary Moore Searight Park, Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park, Roy G. Guerrero Colorado Park and the newest course at Davis Spring Special Park. Tournaments, Events, Concessions
- By City Code and Park Rules, all organized events require permits to ensure proper planning and logistical coordination. This includes all tournaments that require admission or participation fees. This ensures successful experience for those proposing tournaments, while maintaining public park access. Applications for small tournaments require a minimum of 60 days in advance to ensure organizers have sufficient time to prepare permit requirements such a use fees, insurance and related submittals. Some park sites are also bookable for other purposes, athletic leagues and require time to cross check and avoid potential conflicts.
- Event Permit Guidelines: Times, limits and application deadlines.
- Use this form to apply, or click Park Events, see the "Park Event" section.
- Temporary Concession Permits
- Stand alone concessions or sales outside of a permitted event/tournament are prohibited in all parks without a concession permit.
- Temporary Concession Permits are offered for vending/sales of recreation-oriented merchandise within City parks for a duration of 1 day to 6 months. Food, beverage, or recreation merchandise are most commonly requested.
