APD Response to APO Recommendation, Case 2026-00134

In response to Austin Police Oversight’s (APO) recommendation in the cases of Officers Hoke, Yaletchko, Ramirez, Yesiolowski, and Pistone, the Austin Police Department (APD) concurs with the APO's recommendation that Officers Hoke and Yaletchko be exonerated, and that Officers Ramirez, Yesioloski, and Pistone were not in compliance with the detention and custody arrest guidelines. APD chose to address these issues through training. APD also assessed and updated its policies concerning foreign nationals and immigration matters.
