APO Objection 2025–1839, Officer Derrick Lehman

In response to Police Chief Lisa Davis, Austin Police Oversight (APO) disagrees with the level of discipline issued to Officer Lehman. He deployed his Taser without a verbal warning on a subject who was unarmed and did not appear to be a threat to the Officers. APO believes Officer Lehman violated multiple policies, and his discipline should be upgraded from an oral reprimand to a 3-5 day suspension, with no eligibility for education-based discipline.
