APO Recommendation for Case #2024-1128, Officers Andy Yu, Javier Rodriguez, Katherine Alzola, and Detective Joseph Kephart

In response to the internal investigation into Officers Andy Yu, Javier Rodriguez, Katherine Alzola, and Detective Joseph Kephart, Austin Police Oversight (APO) recommends exonerating all officers. Multiple officers used deadly force to stop a suspect who was armed and firing towards officers. APO concludes all officers acted within the Austin Police Department policy.
