APO Recommendation for Case 2025-1411, Officers Joseph Duelser, Kai Finch, Martin Vela, and Vincent Nguyen

In response to the internal investigation into Officers Joseph Duelser, Kai Finch, Martin Vela, and Vincent Nguyen, Austin Police Oversight (APO) recommends exonerating all officers. Multiple officers used deadly force in response to a suspect firing from a suspected stolen vehicle. APO concludes that all officers acted within the Austin Police Department policy.
