Indefinite Suspension of Officer Benjamin Cochran

Chief of Police Lisa Davis determined that Officer Benjamin Cochran violated Austin Police Department (APD) policy and suspended him indefinitely, effective September 18, 2025. An Internal Affairs investigation found that he shared body-worn camera footage with individuals who were not law enforcement personnel, violating state law and APD general orders.
