OPO Recommendation for Case #2024-0348 and 2024-0604, Sergeant Scott Gunter
In response to Interim Chief of Police Robin Henderson's disciplinary determination regarding Sergeant Scott Gunter in cases #2024-0348 and 2024-0604, the Office of Police Oversight recommends that APD administer the appropriate discipline for Classification A in APD's General Order Disciplinary Matrix. OPO's review of the Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Sergeant Gunter failed to report a subordinate's misconduct, violating General Orders 900.1 Responsibility to Know and Comply, 900.2 Required Reporting Violations, 900.3 Honesty, 900.4 Neglect of Duty, and 900.2 Cooperating with Assigned Investigations.
