OPO Recommendation for Case #2024-1258, Officer Joseph Spees
In response to the internal investigation into Officer Joseph Spees, Austin Police Oversight (APO) concurs that he violated multiple policies in a December 2024 incident with an intoxicated subject. APO also notes another prior incident involving an intoxicated subject where Officer Spees was found to have violated Austin Police Department policy. APO recommends Officer Spees be suspended indefinitely.
