Temporary suspension of Detective Christopher Thomas
Chief of Police Joseph Chacon determined that Detective Thomas's actions violated Civil Service Commission Rule 10.03 and suspended him from his duties for one day on May 13, 2023. An Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Detective Thomas violated Civil Service Rules and APD policy when he disobeyed a direct order from his supervisor by signing up for a backfill shift before his designated time.
