Temporary suspension of Officer Jake Pitcher
Chief of Police Lisa Davis determined Officer Jake Pitcher violated Austin Police Department policy and suspended him for one day. This resulted from an accident in November of 2025 in which Officer Pitcher rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped for an animal in the roadway. Chief Davis also noted that Officer Pitcher had received three previous reprimands leading up to this suspension.
