Plaintiff Ravindra Singh submitted this lawsuit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc, Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC, the City of Austin, and Austin Police Officers Alan Martindale, Eva Marie Moseley, Richard W. Miller, John Doe, and former Chief Art Acevedo for alleged excessive force and a body search without reason. The plaintiff requests damages. The defendants responded with a request to dismiss the plaintiff's relief. On March 25, 2022, Judge Robert Pittman granted the Defendants' motion to dismiss. Mr. Singh filed a notice of appeal on November 2, 2022. On May 15, 2023 the Fifth Circuit of Appeals dismissed the case.
