Academy Curriculum Recommendation: Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC), Code of Criminal Procedure (Chapter 9)
The Office of Police Oversight (OPO) is collaborating with the Educational Development Unit of the Austin Police Department (APD) to enhance the academy's curriculum. The OPO recommends changes to APD's Texas Code of Criminal Procedure curriculum, recommending the correction of outdated information and the removal of questionable information.
