APO Policy Recommendation: Equipment and Uniform Regulations

This memorandum provides feedback and recommendations for improving the Austin Police Department’s General Orders regarding equipment and uniform regulations. APO recommends that APD officers should be required to utilize only department-issued or approved equipment for their policing activities rather than personal items.
