Request Permits & Parkland Reservations
Permits and reservations are required for a variety of activities and events on parkland. Austin Parks and Recreation's Office of Special Events can assist park patrons with coordinating private special events, permits, and parkland concession applications.

Visiting Emma Long Metropolitan Park
Alert:
Water utilities will be turned off at Emma Long Metro Park sometime in August 2026, through October 2026, for planned maintenance. An exact timeline will be posted soon.
- Portable toilets will be onsite for day use and camping
- Showers, sinks, water fountains, hose bibs and others will not be accessible at the park
