City of Austin Reveals 2025 Community Survey Results
Austin, TX — The City of Austin announced today the release of the 2025 Community Survey results, providing insight into resident satisfaction with city services, quality of life, and community priorities. The biennial survey, conducted in partnership with ETC Institute, utilized a randomized, district-balanced sampling method to gather responses from 2,080 Austinites.
According to the survey, satisfaction improved across nearly every service area evaluated. The results, which are statistically reliable with a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of plus or minus 2.15 percentage points, highlight positive trends citywide.
An updated online dashboard now allows residents to view the 2025 results alongside previous years’ data, going back to 2015. Additionally, Austinites can also view the full survey report, which provides detailed information on survey methodology, respondent demographics, service ratings, year-over-year comparisons, and benchmark comparisons against national averages, Texas cities, and peer cities.
Austin continues to exceed benchmarks in several key areas, including overall quality of life, access to outdoor and recreational opportunities, cultural amenities, and perceptions of the city as a desirable place to live.
Notable findings show high levels of satisfaction with major services provided by the City of Austin, including the overall quality of residential garbage collection at 83.6 percent, the overall quality of residential curbside recycling services at 78.8 percent, the overall quality of fire services at 78.1 percent and the overall quality of City libraries at 77.7 percent.
