Programs

Sprout into Success is a Recreation Therapy program designed by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for children ages 6-11 and teens ages 12-16. Sessions are implemented in a group setting and are one hour in duration. The main goal of the program is to develop social skills with peers and improve fine and gross motor skills. Social skills sessions will focus on teaching individuals about their environment and build social connections that support problem-solving and creativity. Sprout Into Success also supports language development, life skills, friendships, and positive social peer interaction.

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist staff will complete an assessment for all participants prior to the start of each program to develop goals and objectives specific to each individual’s needs. Please contact Hayleigh Soukup to register for the Sprout into Success program.

McBeth Recreation Center will be offering 10 weeks of summer fun. Join us as we create cool arts and craft projects and play tons of games. Every week will focus on a different theme and special event. There will also be fun and exciting field trips to explore our parks, swim at local city of Austin pools and visit Morgan's Wonderland... just to name a few!

    • Camp Wonder: Youth ages 6-11
    • Camp Discover: Teens ages 12-16

McBeth Therapeutic Summer Camps specialize in providing adaptive programming to individuals with special needs. Camps are staffed at a 1:4 staff to participant ratio to provide reasonable accommodations to those needing extra assistance.
