Project Overview
The East Allandale Water and Wastewater Improvement Project is part of Renewing Austin, an Austin Water program to replace and upgrade water lines. This program is an important part of the work Austin Water is doing to save water, ensure safe services, and prepare for the needs of the future.
We have documented numerous water line breaks in this area, and through the East Allandale Improvement we will strengthen your neighborhood’s water infrastructure by installing 3000 linear feet of new water lines and 700 linear feet of new wastewater lines. Austin Water will rehabilitate an additional 100 linear feet of wastewater line through “Cured In Place Pipe Lining,” a process by which the contractor will insert a new lining into an aging pipe and, by hardening the lining, create a pipe that is as strong as new.
Austin Water partners with Capital Delivery Services (CDS) during this project stage, and CDS project management staff will oversee construction. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some weekend work may be needed.
