For anyone experiencing homelessness in the Austin/Travis County area, a Coordinated Assessment (CA) is a good first step on the path to services and housing. The CA is a housing needs evaluation where anyone experiencing homelessness in Austin/Travis County can apply for the majority of our community’s housing programs. For an up-to-date list of agencies that offer CAs, visit www.austinecho.org/gethelp.
AUSTIN, TX – Austin Housing and the Austin Housing Finance Corporation celebrate the groundbreaking of Bailey at Berkman and Bailey at Stassney, totaling 208 new affordable rental housing units in Districts 3 and 4 in Austin. Both sites will be developed by National CORE with partner Diva Imaging LLC and consultant Structure Development.
“This community reflects our commitment to expanding deeply affordable housing options for Austinites,” explains Deletta Dean, Austin Housing Director. “The Bailey at Berkman and Bailey at Stassney communities will help ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors have a stable foundation and a path forward with access to housing and support services.”
Both communities support the City’s ongoing efforts to expand affordable housing and permanent supportive housing. Through strategic investments and partnerships, the City continues to prioritize developments that pair housing with access to critical services and community resources.
“We are incredibly excited to see Bailey at Berkman and Bailey at Stassney come to fruition”, says Ariana Brendle, Vice President of Acquisitions for National CORE. “As an Austin resident myself, it means so much to be part of developments that will provide stable, affordable housing opportunities for people in our own community. These communities came together through strong collaboration and support from many partners, especially the City of Austin, which played a major role in helping bring them to life. As a national nonprofit developer, National CORE is excited to continue building high-quality affordable housing communities and making a lasting impact in neighborhoods across Austin.”
