After nearly three years of thoughtful renovation and expansion, the ESB-MACC welcomes the community back with Juntos de Nuevo—a day of reconnection, celebration, and cultural expression. This family-friendly event is open to all, with no tickets or RSVPs required.
Highlights include:
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Welcome remarks & ribbon cutting
12:00 PM – 9:00 PM:
- Live music and performances on the outdoor stage under the Zócalo
- Tours of the new and renovated spaces
- Hands-on arts, dance, music, theater, and culinary workshops for all ages
- Free children’s art activities in the new youth classrooms
- Exhibitions in the Community Gallery and the Sam Z. Coronado Gallery
- Community Resource Fair featuring local nonprofits
- Artisan market highlighting local Latino/a/e entrepreneurs
- Food trucks throughout the day
This reopening is more than a milestone—it is a celebration of identity, creativity, and the enduring cultural legacy of Austin’s communities.
