Join Austin Parks and Recreation for the Givens Pool Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at 3811 E. 12th St. After more than 50 years serving the historically African American community, the Givens District Park Pool has been redeveloped for future generations to enjoy.

In 2018, the Aquatic Plan identified the pool as in need of improvements and it was closed in 2019 due to leaks in the pool shell. New amenities include lap lane pool, zero-entry activity pool (toddler pool), spray ground features, diving board, bathhouses, family restroom, training/party room, picnic pads with shade structures, and aquatic office space.
