Save the Date: High Demand, High Fun. Register for City of Austin Summer Camps!
City of Austin’s accessible, diverse, and inclusive summer camps for youth ages 5 through 15 are in high demand and fill up fast, so save the date and register as soon as you are able.
Financial Aid Recipients Can Register Early
Austin residents with approved financial aid can register early either (1) in-person – check location for hours, (2) by phone, or (3) online beginning Saturday, January 31 at 10 a.m. and continuing through Friday, February 6 at 6 p.m.
General Registration
Therapeutic Recreation Summer Programs embrace the diversity that defines Austin and work to ensure that all individuals are accepted, included, and welcomed to participate, play, and recreate together with a team of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and Inclusion Aids.
- Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 14 at 10 a.m.
- Non-Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 14 at 12 p.m.
Nature-based Summer Camps at the Camacho Activity Center and Austin Nature and Science Center provide hands-on educational and recreational activities that increase appreciation for the natural environment and awareness of conservation ethics. Participants are limited to registering for no more than three weeks per child.
- Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m.
- Non-Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 21 at 12 p.m.
Cultural and Arts Center Summer Camps preserve and protect the past, celebrate Austin’s diversity, build community, and develop awareness and appreciation for the arts. Participants are limited to registering for no more than three weeks per child.
- Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m.
- Non-Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, February 28 at 12 p.m.
Community Recreation Center Summer Camps have a youth development philosophy which focuses on providing opportunities to enhance their interests, skills and abilities through intentional programming and quality experiences that help develop social, emotional, ethical, physical and cognitive competencies.
- Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m.
- Non-Austin residents: Registration begins Saturday, March 7 at 12 p.m.
