Zilker Loop

The Zilker Loop is a free and convenient seasonal service making it easier than ever for visitors to access popular park amenities.

As Austinites flock to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool this Independence Day weekend, Austin Parks and Recreation encourages visitors to reduce traffic congestion by taking the Zilker Loop this Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Zilker Loop is a free and convenient seasonal service making it easier than ever for visitors to access popular park amenities. 

The route includes four stops:

  1. Stratford Lot
  2. Zilker Playground
  3. Barton Springs Pool
  4. Polo Fields Parking Area

The Zilker Loop offers service about every 20 minutes or so on Saturdays, Sundays, and City holidays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day weekend, ending Monday, September 1. Pets and coolers are not permitted in the vehicle.

Visitors can waive the first two hours of Stratford Lot parking fees by using a code in the Park ATX App. Weekend and holiday parking at Zilker Park is $3 per hour, and visitors must pay and renew charges using the app. 

  1. Download the app Park ATX
  2. Start your parking session including the zone code for Stratford Lot: 39027
  3. Tap redeem and enter the validation code FREE2STRATFORD
