Project Overview
To ensure reliability today and prepare for the needs of the future, Austin Water is strengthening our community’s water and wastewater infrastructure with the Renewing Austin program. The Concordia Neighborhood Water and Wastewater Pipeline Renewal Project is part of this work, and through the Concordia project Austin Water will replace 5,440 linear feet of 6-inch diameter cast iron water pipes with new 8-inch PVC lines, and 2,519 linear feet of 6-inch wastewater pipes with new 8-inch lines.
The new lines will be installed north of East Dean Keeton Street and Manor Road, between East 28th and East 32nd Streets, and French Place and Robinson Road. Please see the map below, with blue highlights showing water line installations, and green highlights marking new wastewater pipes.
Timeline
We anticipate the start of construction in the late winter or early spring of 2026. The project should take about 15 months to complete.
