Treatment Plant Tours
Austin Water offers guided tours of our working water and wastewater treatment facilities for water industry professionals, college or graduate level students, and City staff. We will need to add more text here to briefly mention safety requirements and maybe describe the available facilities. A small paragraph will suffice since the FAQ and request form documents cover the requirements in detail.

- How much time in advance should I schedule the tour?

Please register for a plant tour at least one week in advance.
- How do I know what days/times you have available

Plant Tours are offered on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Groups must register beforehand.
- When will I get the confirmation for the tour I requested?

Once the registration form is complete you are confirmed for your tour, You will receive an email that will include your group tour date & time, parking instructions, safety guidelines and a plant tour terms and conditions form to be turned in before visiting our plant [add link to form?]. You will receive this email 5-7 business days after registering.
- Where do I park and/or where do we meet for the tour?

After you register you will receive and email that will include where to meet your Guide and who you should call in case you are lost or going to be a few minutes late. This email will include all the logistics for your visit. [to what level is something like this done currently?]
- How many people can be included on the tour?

Plant tours consist of no more than 25 individuals. Tour group may consist of mixed parties (students, City staff, external industry leaders, etc.).
- Is there a fee for group tours?

Signing up for a group tour is free but registration is required!
- What if we want students to hear from a specific department or need accommodations?
