Fall Equinox Celebration & Solar Cookout

The City of Austin is partnering with Fruitful Commons and Festival Beach Food Forest and friends for a Fall Equinox Celebration & Solar Cookout — a fun community celebration centered around local food and climate resilience.

There will be an abundance of food, art, games, educational programs and activities for all ages. Highlights include a passive solar oven cooking competition, presentations from solar cooking experts, and a showcase of the vision plan for the Farah Rivera-Ortiz Cocina de la Cosecha (Harvest Kitchen) at Festival Beach Food Forest.

This event is sponsored by the City of Austin, Austin Parks Foundation and RBJ Senior Housing.
